Research Of Land Use Zoning Based On GIS

With the rapid development of society economy, the city scale extends continuously, and more lands are in demand .As a result ,a scientific ,reasonable and effective land plan must be taken to make the best use of land . Land play is the foundation of land management ,which runs through every part of it .Usually the play is stable and validate for a long time ,but sometimes a revision is needed ,which is launched by state department every three or five years ,and executed by all local government at the same time. Since there are large numbers of data , for example, geography space data ,attribute data ,society economic data ,business data etc .that the plan involved need processing, the procedure is therefore complicated and using a modern technical way to process the data is inevitable and we have no alternative but to adopt.GIS is a comprehensive technology that handle geographic data ,with its mighty ability to process space data ,it offer a revolutionary tool for the management of resource and environment ,therefore its combination with land plan is a inevitable trend .Land Layout Assistant Sys is primarily used to complete Plan revision and Part adjust ,itself in fact a helper for editing the plan ,including graph edit , attribute edit , and a comparison for edit result so as to judge whethe the result is resonable or not .Plan revision represents "do " the action,here all special topical data that using in making the plan are managed .Land use zoning is the reference base of the implement of plan ,also is the basic content of plan and the way to implement the plan . Land use zoning is to divide land resource into different areas and establish different land use rules according to the requests of society economic development . Now the method for land use zoning is rather obscure and singular in our country , how to establish and realize a method using new technology is not only this paper focus on but our land resource management requested urgently .From the point of efficiency only , GIS is based on computer technology ,it speeds the procedure of handling large numbers of spacial data ,while in application point , it simplify the operation which enables the result more vivid and make the operation as convenient as possible.This article introduced the characteristics of land use zoning, and discussed the requests for zoning. According to the principle of dissecting modules ,a independent module－land use zoning module is designed .Diverse methods have met the requirements of differernt land management departments and easy interaction have simplified the operation in order to accord with day-to day work moden.Also its mighty analysis have enabled making a comparison of different results so as to get the best scheme.This research using MAPGIS as plateform ,with VC++ as development tool have desighed and realized the module successfully .Now the module have merged into Land Layout Assistant Sys ,and met the demands of QinHuangIsland Resource Department prelimarily,and will be extended in the whole country.The result indicated:Land use zoning based on GIS is feasible on the technique, likewise this will help improve the presion of zoning result ,forthermore it will better work for establishing the Land plan.
