Systematic Studies On Taxonomy Of The Genus Pleurotus From China

Based on the reviews of the studies on Pleurotus done by domestic and foreign mycologists, this paper reviewed the ownership of Pleurotus and the various research methods in the taxonomy of Pleurotus, and mainly worked on the taxonomy of the Pleurotus fungi from China and the resource investigation of those.Comparing the macro-characteristics and micro-characteristics of the genus Pleurotus and others Peurotoid fungi, the author held that the genus Phyllotopsis and Peurocybella should belong to the genus Pleurotus.Through examining the macro and micro characteristics of the 310 specimens deposited in Mycological Herbarium of Microbiology Institute the Chinese Academy of Science (HMAS), Herbarium of Cryptogams, Kunming Institute of Botany Academy of Science, Mycological Herbarium of Microbiology Institute Guangdong Academy of Science (HMIGD) and Mycological Herbarium of Mycological Institute Jilin Agariculture University (HMJAU), the author reported 35 species of the genus Pleurotus from China in this paper, including a new record.The species being Paced in Pleurotus were Phyllotopsis nidulans (Pers.: Fr.) Sing., Peurocybella porrigens (Fr. ) Sing., Tectella calyptrate (Lindbl.) Sing, and Peurotellus candidissimus ( Berk, et M.A.Curtis ) Konrad & Maubl.. Pleurotus ulmarius (Bull, ex Fr.) Qu e 1. was Paced in the genus Lyophyllum rather than the genus Pleurotus. Pleurotus ferulae Lanzi was an independent specie and Pleurotus abalonus Han, K.M.Chen et S.Cheng was a subspecies of Pleurotus cystidiosus O.K. Miller. Pleurotus floridanus R.Singer was viewed as a strain of Pleurotus ostreatus and Pleurotus columbinus Qu e 1. was perceived as an ecological type of Pleurotus ostreatus.Differences among related species were compared, micro-characteristic were drew, synonyms were studied and a key about subgenus and species of Pleurotus were listed in this paper.By comparing the types of hyphal systems of Pleurotus, Panus and Lentinus, the author thought that the relation between Pleurotus and Agaiicales was comparatively intimate, that between Lentinus and Polyporales the same, and comparatively Pleurotus was on the lowest evolution stage of the three ones.
