This study used 31 microsatellite markers for fish population genetics study. Of them only 14 loci are suitable for Taishan Chlin fish and 10,15,3 and 7 loci for the wild populations of Carassius auatus Linnaeus, Cypinus capio Linnaeus, Culter erythropterus Basilewsky and Hemiculter leucisculus Basilewsky from Weishan lake respectively. Allele frequencies, polymorphism information content, genetic heterozygosities in each locus were calculated for four populations. Genetic distances about the four species were estimated and cluster analyses based on it were performed. The result shows that every locus of Chilin fish has only an allele and the allele frequency is 1.0. So the genetic structure of Taishan Chilin fish is very simple and identical, also there is no difference between the wild population and the reared population. For the four wild habitations of Weishan lake, the mean number of alleles in each locus is from six to eleven, the mean of genetic heterozygosity in each loci is from 0.4599 to 0.6188 and the range of the mean of polymorphism information content is between 0.5346 to 0.8839. The statistics indicated that in all tested loci of each population there is a plenty of polymorphism and abundant genetic diversity. Therefore, the four wild population of Weishan lake is still in safety. The UPGAM cluster result indicated that the Carassius auatus Linnaeus and Cypinus capio Linnaeus is more related. We obtained some data for population genetics of Carassius auatus Linnaeus, Cypinus capio Linnaeus, Culter erythropterus Basilewsky and Hemiculter leucisculus Basilewsky, which is the basis for fish conservation and breeding.
