A Study And Realization Of MBMS Based On ArcGIS

As GIS develops toward SDSS, GIS offer various kinds of necessary spatial information to user, namely the data grade support, and can also offer the substantive decision scheme, which makes GIS really become a platform of spatial information system which auxiliary users' management and decision, and then promote the profound application of GIS.Among the commonly used Model Base System (MBS) at present, the grain size of model is often larger, it is generally executable file, the operational efficiency of model is relatively low, and the sharing and flexibility of model are all very bad; the expandability is relatively bad in some systems based on static function library; it is difficult to increase the new model after application system development. In addition, some MBSs developed to concrete application, when to the questions of other applications face to face, must make greater modification to the system and even need developing again, but it is undoubtedly a complicated one to set up a MBS from scratch, work of taking time very much, it is wasted that the ones that cause manpower, material resources are enormous.The thesis has further investigated the current situation of domestic and international research and basic theories of the MBS, according to the characteristic of GIS model, probe into its expressing and classification, realize organization and memory of the model by the way of the relation Database to unite with the file base; At the same time setting out from the angle of raising replying of the model and the dynamic expandability of the system, introduce COM into the design and realizing of the model, set up the MBS based on ArcGIS, develop model manage tool at the same time, realize the managing effectively of the model , improve the aid decision ability of GIS.The thesis divides into six chapters altogether, chapter one is prefaces, tell the background of the selected title, the research and current application situations of the domestic and international MB, and the main content that the brief illustration this thesis studies. Chapter two is the theory summary of the MBS, explain the classification and expression method of the model in detail, organization and memory of the MB, and the key function of the MBMS. Chapter three is the development of model and building of the MB based on ArcGIS, introduce COM technology, tell that the development course of model based on COM, and the design plan of the model dictionary and the file base. Chapter four is the development of model manage toolbased on ArcGIS, explain the design and realizing code partly of key function of model manage too in detail. Chapter five is the application of MBS, tell that the transferring and the application of concrete function of model manage tool under the environment of ArcGIS. Chapter six is is conclusion that summarizes all of above including insufficient and innovative respects, and brings forward what is going to do at next step.The innovation of this thesis is to develop GIS-MBS software on ArcGIS platform based on COM software development thought. This software can manage effectively GIS models, and help policymaker build new models with the existing models, which improve the utilization ratio of models. In addition, this software offer model's combination and save the parameters of models, and combine different models that are developed according to the norm of COM, thus raise reusing of the model and systematic expandability greatly.
