In this paper, three aspects about single Doppler weather radar data's analysis and application are introduced mostly:(1)The actual wind field is much reflected by the overlap between thermal advection and field of divergence. Many instance are analysed in this paper, which can help users identify the useful information from Doppler velocity PPI pictures.(2)The product of vertical wind profile(VWP) which based on VAD methods are introduced detailedly. This product is useful to ascertain the type of thermal advection, the shear of vertical wind, etc. Limited by the condition of calculating VWP, the largest height of echo peak in exploring range can be explored .(3)Utilizing the EVAD technique, the air average divergence is calculated in the paper. And then adopting the variational solution adjusts the divergence value of each layer. Finally, the even vertical air velocity is computed by using the continuity equation.Based on the theory hereinbefore, utilizing the data which observed by Xinle Doppler radar, the great area rainfall and snowfall are analysed detailedly. The result indicates the echo has big area and well-proportioned distribution, and the radial velocity is slow and grads is small. On VWP picture, zero speed layer appears on early and weaken period and disappears on strong period. The divergence and vertical velocity which calculated by radar basic data can reflect the dynamics characteristic of precipitation basically.Because of the difference of property between rainfall and snowfall, there are many dissimilar in Radar products which represent on the intension and height of echo, the size of radial velocity, the value and altitude of divergence and vertical velocity.
