Automatic navigating in fact is a complicate artificialintelligence project . Its aim is that navigating operation takes theplace of human being through high technology and means partlyor wholly by machine. When automobile navigates on the road ,its navigating flection and stop are completed by computer andsupport system.The essence of automatic navigating is to make road systemto have intelligence and depending on vehicle's intelligencesystem control automatic navigating adjust transportation flow tothe best habitus, reduce transportation caused by artificiallynavigating and improve the safety and moving efficiency.Vehicle's automatic navigating system mainly apply modernsense technology ,communicating technology, computertechnology and check technology and control by itselfdirection ,speed ,distance among vehicle's throughcommunication between vehicle and road and communicationamong vehicles. So the automobile can drive by itself on theroad.If automobile steer on the highway with GPS receiver, It canposition anywhere on the network road at anytime. The error isno more than 10m. The automobile can also get road informationtransportation condition and so on and provide driver with roadproperty such as slope and curving degree. The driver can display,store, deal and require the moving track, related dynamic dataand road parameters to select a best way. Our main task is that when we driving on the highway ,according to the vehicle's previous position referred to electronicmap ,we create road parameter database and determine theautomobile on which road ,give the curving degree, select a bestway according to the driver's destination ,provide the necessarydata for automatic driving. During automatic navigating, we need information aboutroad. Because GPS can position, we can get any position'sparameter (latitude, longtitude, altitude). GPS provides cheap andpractical positioning method for global user and make thedevelopment of automatic driving into climax. We also use electronic map based on GIS. Electronic map ismade up of many overlapping and independent layers. The layersare transparent. Every layer includes a kind of information.Different topic forms different layer. Layers overlap together andwe can see all of the hands of map. But in most GIS, we adoptdividing layers. When we assay some topic , we only payattention to single same object and don't assay other object.Dealing with different layers, we abstract layers. Mapinfo is the Mapinfo company's geography systemsoftware. It organizes computer map based on layers. Every layerincludes the different hands of the whole map. For example, inprovince map, the first layer includes factories, villages and treefarm. The second layer includes islands. They pile up to be anintegrated map. We abstract layer from comprehensive map and VIget maplayer with highway. The layer transform and we get thedxf format article that Autocad can recognize. Arcview GIS is the desktop GIS of ESRI company. INArcview GIS, it turn the dxf article into shape format article thatmapobjects can recognizes. The key to administrate mapobject is recordset. It expressthe attribute of the maplayer and offer the method of usingrecords. Layers are created as an attributes of venctor layerobjects.We get a recordset through the distance search. Mapobjects include a map control spare and more than fortyOLE objects with attribution ,event and method.They provideflexity and functions.Mapobjects objects are devide into dataaccess objects,map display objects,Geometric objects,AddressMatching objects ,Utility objects and Projection objects. Through installing the attribution of map control spares,wecan control the amplifying,lessening and roaming. In Mapobjects,we describe changing geographic objectsthrough tracking layer,such as the objects in GPS.The objects canmove on the appointing road. The main process to create recordset is that we createdatabase structure in Access, then select a road throughsearchbydistance, and use the point on map as the center of acircle and 10 meters distance .If we find the highway satisfiedwith the condition ,we abstract the highway, move the pointobject to next position and abstract x and y.
