With the development of society, the water resources situation and water environment of Jincheng city have taken great changes, the water resources of its middle district is hard up day by day, the layout of industry transfers to Qin river coast from middle district is an inevitable trend for the development of Jincheng's economy. As an important spring basin of Qin river coast, Yanhe spring basin must has a tremendous effect to the development of Jincheng city in the future. At the end of 2003, Jincheng city decides to carry its second water resources appraisal and its water resources general layout according to the unitive dispose of Shanxi province. In order to insure its continuable development of economy and environment and its continuable utilization of spring karstgroundwater resources, it is necessary to carry the study on karst groundwater resources of Yanhe spring basin, this can not only afford reliable datas to utilize and protect the karst groundwater resources rationally, but also has an important practical significance and far-reaching historical sense to the development of Jincheng's civil economy.The paper has treated the karst groundwater resources of Yanhe spring basin as research object, and six aspects have been researched. Firstly, the boundary of spring basin have been confirmed in terms of correlative materials; Second, in terms of its water level, precipitation and spring flow of many years, the trend of karst groundwater has been researched, it include the changeful trend of karst groundwater, the character of karst spring, the delay effect of precipitation to Yanhe spring flow and the attenuation reason of spring flow; Third, the status quo of groundwater has been researched, and we pointed out the problems during exploitation and utilization; Fourth, in terms of the water sample of spring basin in April, 2004, the karst groundwater quality has been appraised, it include four aspects, such as the appraisal of drinkingwater,industry,agriculture, environmental quality; Fifth, the paper have researched the karst groundwater resources quantity of 1956—2000 series and 1980—2000 series with discharge method and recharge method, it obtained the discharge and recharge quantity of the karst groundwater of two series; Last, the paper have simulated the groundwater at the use of AQUA3D software bag which is based on Galerkin Finite Element Method, from identify and verify, the mathematic model and hydrogeological parameters of YanHe spring basin have been confirmed, it also have researched the allowable exploitation of karst groundwater resources with the average precipitation scheme and the forcast precipitation scheme at the use of Finite Element Method.To sum up, the paper gained credible results from the study on karst groundwater resources of Yanhe spring basin, this can affords scientific basis on reasonable exploitation and high effective utilization at karst groundwater resources of YanHe spring basin.
