The Research And Application Of WebGIS Technology In Important Fire-control Units Management System

GIS(Geographical information system) is penetrating into every kinds of fields. The combination of GIS with the network technology is an important developing direction of the present GIS research field, and the rapid application of computer network is accelerating the evolution of network GIS from traditional GIS. Then the constructing of distributed GIS, the WebGIS, is the trend for the developing of GIS.In order to provide scientific and easy used decision method, increasing the degree of management and decision, aiding fire-control departments to manage and decide by all kinds of information, especially spatial data. Many fire-control departments have developed, to some extent, management system. However, as the development and application of science, especially network and GIS, the present management system has not already adapted to the development which the fire-control units are increasing and the demand of aiding the fire-control department to locate the fire-control unit or to choose the route , the water resource near the fire-control unit and querying the information of building near the fire-control unit is to be needed when fire breaks out.In accordance with the present situation, this paper presents some research which will focus on the following issues:1. According to the present situation of Sichuan fire-control, the paper puts forward to B/S(Browser/Server) to adapt to the all kinds level of computer application of the fire-control numbers.2. Discuss the realization technology and features of the WebGIS client and server;3. Inquire into the organization pattern of spatial data and attribute data. Provide the total structure of Spatial Database Management System for this system and analyze the Special structure of the form in details.4. To be satisfied with the demand of the increasing of the fire-control units and the rapid search for information, the paper also puts forward to metadata database and analyzes the form of metadata database in details.5. Finally, we discuss the organization pattern and structure of WebGIS server and the querying function of WebGIS Browser in details.
