As the development of Information Technology, every fields needs a high demanding about Information, Fire Protection's Information is also urgency. The Ministry of Construction issued Notice No.728 in October 23, 2008,and Promulgated a national standard,"Technical Code for remote-monitering System of Urban Fire Protection, the number is No.GB50440-2007, and would be executed after January 1, 2008. The standard's issued would be regulated our country's Urban Fire's networking and promoted the building of cities , and strengthen the scientific and technological services to the police.According to national standards,many high-tech companies engaged in a fierce competition on Remote-monitoring System of Urban Fire Protection research, how to invent innovative,practical Remote-monitoring System of Urban Fire Protection is the goal of these software companys.Through the modern communication, and integrated the Geographic Information Systems,Digital Video Surveillance and so on, and giving real-time monitoring for all building fire alarm network in monitoring center,and it can also centralized facilities for fire management applications what it means Remote-monitering System of Urban Fire Protection. This article relies on the project of TongFang digital city company's Remote-monitering System of Urban Fire Protection , and using the Open Source Software,implementation of WebGIS at fire remote monitering applications.This paper has a research on opensource software on WebGIS,including the current popular Geoserver, OpenLayers, gvSIG and PostgreSQL and so on,using the popular web development language Ajax and java,implement the function of WebGIS on Remote-monitoring System,including the formation of map layers, zoom, shrink and other commonly used translation operation. At the same time,this paper has a research on GML,Applet's Application on WebGIS,and the communication between these software,including the communication between Geoserver and OpenLayers,and the communication between Geoserver and PostgreSQL and so on. Through the development of the client, the realization of automatic fire, such as location, location query, the shortest path analysis and other functions.Through the fire of automatic positioning,it can be reported to the fire infomation in a timely manner,through large-screen inquiries, you can let the fire department to see the visual location of the fire, as well as the surrounding circumstances. Through the target points of the inquiry, the fire department can quickly navigate to the location, as well as the distance from the point of fire equipment, fire departments and so on.Through the analysis of the shortest path,it can allow the fire department to find an optional path to arrive at the fire took place.so that in order to save property and lives to provide a strong protection.Let WebGIS applicate to fire construction what it to be an important component of the fire information management system, it integraties a lot of fire information and electronic maps,through information visualization technology,provides a map and related information support for other systems, so it can provide facilitate,directly and efficiently Analysis and decision support and provide the conditions of rapid low-loss for fire fighting.
