Gas-solid flow has been applied in industrial processes widely, such as power plant, steel making, chemical and food industry. The precise measurement and real-time monitor of gas-solid flow parameters is important for the product's quality control, stability of industrial processes, also the balance of energy supply. Because its complex flow characters, the measurement of gas-solid flow becomes an unsolved technique problem. Based on studying and comparing the different techniques of the measurement of gas-solid flow, the systemic research and experiment of the non-invasive electrostatic method is taken. The experiment plan of the electrostatic measurement of gas-solid flow is designed according to the characters of the gas-solid flow measurement. It introduces the cross correlation speed measurement, gravity-fed flow experiment device and the gas-solid flow laboratory equipment, to do systemic experimental research on the characters of the gas-solid flow measurement. The "Voltage-Mass flow rate"curve is established according to the output of the electrostatic sensor and the known solid mass flow rate. Also the solid speed is calculated by the correlation function of two electrostatic sensors'signal. Finally by analyzing the experiment data, the attempt is made to establish the optimum design means of the non-invasive electrostatic measurement of gas-solid flow, also to provide the feasible engineering project for the measurement of gas-solid flow parameters.
