Based on theories and methods of coal-bed methane(CBM) geology, natural gas geology, coal geology, well logging, seismic interpretation and inversion, using actual advanced seismic interpretation's software(Discovery) and inversional software (Strata), combining the data of drilling, logging and other aspects, this thesis studies the geological background, the sedimentary facies, coal beds and the characteristics of coal reservoir in Huhehu Depression, hailer Basin. Moreover, interpretated three main segments containing coal. We make two structural maps of Daer section'top and bottom. We forecast the thickness and the burial depth of the three main coal seam and the coal seam's progressive thickness of Yiyi section and Daer section through model-based inversion for two sections. So we calculate the reserve volume of coal and the magnitude of stock of CBM. Through this study it is of the opinion that Daer section of Huhehu is the best section for CBM'exploratory development because the coal seam is development and the burial depth is temperament. The coal seam in the Yiyi section is small burial depth, so it can be exploited with the Daer section .The coal seam in Naer section is the best developmental .But the burial depth is too deep. Thereby it is deserving of research effort.
