Rotary drill rigs is a plant that can be applicable in construction of building foundationwith big installed power, large output power, large output moment of torque, much axialpressure, automotive flexibility, high efficiency of construction and so on. It can be applicableto geological conditions of most places of our country with wide use. Temperature of itsworking environment ranges from minus 20°C to 40°C. It can conduct drilling activities offoundations of railway, freeway, road and bridge, pubic works and high-rise building. In China,a vast development space can be provided to rotary drill rigs with the drive of Qinghai-Tibetrailway, Beijing Olympic Games and Shanghai International Fair. It is loved for itsuncontroverted construction quality and flexibility by construction companies. The thesis is made by comparing different structure characteristics of different rotary drillrigs from many manufacturers home and abroad and studying special features of differentchasses, masts, luffers, power heads, drill bits, winding tackles and auger stems. Consideringspecial structure of rotary drill rigs and big differences in heights of barycenter of each part,roll-over accidents can easily happen during rotating. Therefore, an overall balance of rotarydrill rigs is analyzed under 3 different working conditions. By way of calculation, theconclusion drawn can verify good overall balance and proper structure designs, on the basis ofwhich analyze the stress conditions of correlation pasts – tripod-leg of parallelogrammictranslation, calculate the stress of each pivot point and direction thereof, and subsequently, verify the reliability of the tripod structure by adopting finite element analysis and usingANSYS software. Through analysis, conclusion can be drawn that the structure is reliable andreasonable.
