Taoyuan-Dapingfang region lies in the south of central fault-anticline structure zone belonged to the east depression in Liaohe basin, which is adjacent to abundant hydrocarbon resource sag. Through many years' exploration, four gas-oil groups in Es1, Ed, Ng, Nm have been discovered. But in Ed only natural gas has been proved, and petroleum reservoir has not been broke through all along. So Ed in the region will become into gas-oil exploring important formation.In the paper Ed is study object. Through the comprehensive analysis of core, drilling, logging, seismic data, stratigraphic correlation in the region has been finished, and fine sequence stratigraphic framework has been established. Furtherly, paleogeography, distribution of facies belts and sediment development of every sedimentary phase have been studied. Based on analysis and assay data, reservoir feature was characterized, and diagenesis and pore developing was described. By comprehensive analysis, reservoir capability has been valuated, and favorable reservoir areas have been predicted, and more short-range exploration target have been pointed out.Major results include as the following:1. Sequence stratigraphic feature of Taoyuan-Dapingfang region has been analyzed systematically, furthermore three medium-term cycle have been divided into.2. Pointed out that sedimentary facies in the region is fan-delta, shore shallow, fluvial facies, and that there are two sediment bodies: one is made of the frontal of fan delta and shore shallow;another is fluvial facies.3. Based on reservoir physical properties, pore structure, sediment feature, diagenesis,three favorable reservoir have been valuated.4. Three favorable exploration region have been directed: the frontal of fan delta in Sq1,and channel sandrock body in Sq2, and channel sandrock body in Sq3.
