With the development and abroad application of the GPS technology, rapid precision position is higher required. The key problems of GPS carrier measurement are how to rapidly solve the integer ambiguity of GPS carrier in order to improve the precision and efficiency. A hot research is applied in more economy fields with the characteristics of GPS.Firstly, this paper introduces the composing of GPS, the modulated or demodulation of signal and the based carrier phase measurement, analyzed the source and the problem-solving approaches about various errors of system. According to the mathematics principle, three kinds of Differential equations of carry phase are deduced. The paper studies the theories and the method of integer ambiguity solution, especially researches some important methods of OTF.Secondly, this paper analyses the characteristics of the double differential observation equation based on short baseline and commonly solutions. According to the ill-condition characters and the variance of the normal matrix under the short baseline, based on the elements of the TIKHONOV regularization theorem and the damp matrix, one ameliorated regularization approach is brought forward to improve the ill-condition and the variance of the normal matrix in GPS rapid positioning. The accurate float ambiguity solutions are obtained using one epoch single frequency phase data. The ameliorated approach can weakens the condition number and improve the precision and efficiency of integer ambiguity solution. The comparisons are carried out between the new approach and the traditional methods using the actual dates of baselines, the result of the new approach is verified. The ameliorated method will make great application significance to real time kinematics positioning.Finally, this paper introduces the application of GPS and the present condition in inland river, and investigates the characters of GSM/GPRS. A kind of project is brought up to solve how to navigate and supervise the ships in inland river especially in exceptive instance in order to provide enough information for sailor and help them taking action . And feasibility of the project is analyzed and validated.
