The main contribution of the loess-paleosol's study in the whole world's change is that the paleoenvironment and paleoclimate's evolvement deduced by the information in the loess-paleosol.The characteristics loess in our country are wide accumulation,great thickness,long span and consecutive stratum.The loess is the important object to studying the paleoenvironment and paleoclimate.This objective of this study is the HuaiHe source area which locate the east of TongBai mountain and the north of DaBie mountain.This area belongs to warm temperate zone and semi-clouding monsoon section which is the boundary of zoology and climate in north and south China,and is the transition belt of precipitation rain fall in north and south.This area's study has great science meaning for understanding the climate's and environment's change since the middle Pleistocene and for studying the DaBie mountain and the HuaiHe source area's change,even for east China's change.Through X-diffraction atlas for qualitative and quantitative analysis of loess-paleosol,through geochemical elements' analysis and magnetic susceptibility's measuration can resuming the climate and environment of the HuaiHe source area since the middle Pleistocene and hope to educing the rule for forecasting the change current of this area.Results are drawn as following:(1)The main clay mineral's combination and content of this research area stratum can be known through the X-diffraction atlas;(2)Analyse the geochemical elements' combination and content in loess-paleosol. The climate change current can be presumed through the climate and environment index is that warmth humidity-aridity cold-warmth humidity;(3)The sample magnetic susceptibility curve as a climate and environment index can show the research area's change and reflect the process of dry and cold to warm and humid.At last, we think that the rainfall increased, oxidized condition swelled,vegetation enriched,soil-ulmin content increased, all that means the climate and environment's develop current is warmth humidity.
