Lespedeza with the excellent properties of resisting drought, leanness, heat, cold, acid, shear and the character of well resisting disease and insect,is the pioneer species of soil-and-water-conservation and wasteland forestation etc. Along with social development, people use it for paper making and soil improvement qua a excellent feed species of shrub. Therefore, studying the adaptability of Lespedeza species against environment and discussing the mechanism can not only supply scientific dependence, also argue the ecological relation further more between plant and environment.Ecological anatomy has been studied on leaves and stem of Lespedeza from different zone such as Huanglong ,Yangling,Zhouzhi ,and different altitudes of Xiaowutai mountain in Hebei province by using scanning electron microscopy and common anatomical methods. The study results as follows:1.Anatomical structure of leaves and stem bring the adaptability against environment. On the whole, the sequence on thickness of lamina is Huanglong>Yangling>Zhouzhi in turn among three species; The sequence on thickness of epidermal cells is Huanglong>Yangling>Zhouzhi in turn; The sequence on number of epidermis hairs is Huanglong>Yangling>Zhouzhi in turn ;The sequence on ratio on thickness of palisade cells and thickness of lamina is Huanglong>Zhouzhi, this is distinct about L.floribunda and L.cuneata, especially L.cuneata in Huanglong, which palisade cells is 2 layers at the vicinity of the main vein, but not distinct about L.davurica; The sequence on tightness degree of the arrange of the assimilation cells is Huanglong>Yangling>Zhouzhi in turn, that is,arrange of assimilation cells of Huanglong Lespedeza is closest, that in Yangling take the second place, that in Zhouzhi is loosest.2.With the change of altitudes, anatomical structure presents the regular change, that is,the thickness of the lamina of three species all presents with altitudes highly negative related, the ratio of the thickness palisades tissue to the thickness of the lamina presents positive related. With the ascension of the elevation height, the arrange of the palisades tissue and sponge tissue become loose; With the increase of the elevation,L.bicolor changes from...
