Research On Haraway's Cyborg Theory

This thesis aims at the context, intention, characteristic, significant and limitation of the theory of cyborg which was brought forward by the American scholar Haraway. Based on the summarization of correlative works and theories, the author firstly described the realism and ideological foundation of the cyborg's on two aspects: the techculture condition and the develpment of feminism theory overseas. According to these bases, the author studies Haraway's books seriously, combing and refining the intention of cyborg carefully, expounds the theory of fractured indentity which includes in cyborg's concept and analyzes detailed about four boundaries'ambiguity: human and animal, human and non-human, physical and non-physical, subject and object. And the turning to companion species in the new context was also discussed. Describe the difference between companion species and cyborg ,explore the intention of companion species and the meaning of this ideology. Finally the author tried to make a general comment of the theory cyborg, summarizes the essence and characteristic, expounds the theory and practice significance and points out the limitation. As a new attempt, the thesis has the value for comprehending the cyborg all-sided. It will provide a fresh air into the philosophy of technology theory. It will also furnishes certain inspire to our motherland's technique development on practice.
