Stress of Se(IV) and Te(IV) on the major active substrates in spirulina were shown in this paper. Some significant results were as follows:1. By adding bicomponent of Se(IV) and Te(IV) on the sixth, seventh and eighth day of growth , difference of stress of Se(IV) on the growth of two types of spirulina were found at an equal concentration of Se(IV). Growth data were analyzed with kinetic equation.2. Effects of the stress of Se(IV) and Te(IV) on the physiological and biochemical functions of spirulina were assessed. High Te(IV) concentration could remarkably suppress the growth of spirulina, proteins and pigments in spirulina were damaged to a different extent, but proteins were more badly damaged than pigments. High Te(IV) concentration could restrained the growth of spirulina prominently than those adding high Se(IV) and Te(IV) concentration which couldn't injury the proteins and pigments remarkably.3. Culture medium turned dark on the eleventh day by adding Se(IV) and Te(IV), filtrate gained by gradient centrifugation were observed through TEM and AFM. Nanometer particles were found which indicates a inversion of spirulina to Nanometer particles.
