Research And Realization Of Digital Mapping System Based On PDA

After the PDA based on Windows CE appears, a lot of surveying and mapping workers looks upon it as the ideal outside data collect implement. Aim at the advantage of PDA and the shortage of the current common in use digital mapping method, it have been to be a new development direction to develop the new digital mapping system based on PDA. This thesis studied the basic function that the digital mapping system base on PDA should have, further more, it researched the key technique when each function was being designed and realized. In the end, the author developed a new PDA based digital mapping system -Palm Mapping V1.0 by use of the embedded programming tool EVC3.0 and AutoCAD's exploitation implement Visual LISP. This system can use PDA to control the Total Station to collect data, record data, draw maps. It can also covert the maps that recorded on PDA to a standard geography diagram in a computer digital mapping system-MD6.0. This system's realize will effectively increasing the efficiency of outside mapping, alleviating the worker's (particularly the painting person's) burden, making the outside work of surveying and mapping more convenient and fast.
