Research And Development On WebGIS Based On MapGuide

WebGIS with the information platform of Internet takes hot spots of GIS research. At present many GIS manufacturers have promoted their own WebGIS solution. Autodesk Corporation's MapGuide is a kind of quite outstanding one.This article introduced the concept, characteristic, structure, principle of WebGIS, analyzed the present commonly used WebGIS working pattern and mainstream WebGIS software and realization method, Introduced the Autodesk MapGuide characteristic, the system organization, principle of work with emphasis, and realized WebGIS development based on MapGuide take the Fuxin foundation geographic information as the example .The system developed taking the Fuxin foundation geography information as fundamental data , using the Browser/Serve structure as information issued system , taking Access as database platform ,Using Autodesk MapGuide as the WebGIS software platform ,using JavaScript, ASP ,VBScript and so on as development tool. Providing the case and method to established the city foundation geographic information system using the MapGuide technology.
