Three dimensional digital volume holographic data storage and recording materials have been becoming one of the important issues of mass data information storage. On the base of the review of the process of high-density optical information storage technology and the holographic storage principle and characteristics of photopolymer, the study had been done about photopolymer recording materials in this dissertation. It includes:1.A whole visible light wavelength range sensitive photopolymer material based on polyvinyl-alcohol for holographic storage was fabricated.2.Photo-induced reaction processes in the photopolymer for holographic storage were studied. And the different process holograms were scanned by SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope). The experimental results were compared with analysis of the theory and they were fitted well.3.Some kinds of un-system noise were reduced during analyzing noise source.4 . The dependences of the transmittance, diffraction efficiency, exposure sensitivity,dynamic range,et al. as functions of exposure times, exposure energy and thickness of the samples were investigated, and the causes of these changes were presented. Effect about the beam ratio, concentration of the photoinitiator and species of the photosensitizers to diffraction efficiency were analyzed.5.Some holographic characteristics of the photopolymers with one or two photosensitizers were compared with the material which was researched in the dissertation.6.Two dimensional simulate images and digital data pages modulated by a SLM ( Spatial Light Modulator ) were stored in the material, and the reconstructed data pages had good fidelity.
