With the rapid development of technology, the research for optic transmitting medium becomes more and more important. Nanoporous polymer films give us a totally new idea to solve these problems. By study on the index of this kinds of films, the relationship between the space periodicity and the index of the film has been gained and the index of the film can be tuned. The research of Nanoporous polymer films is of great importance and value.With the numerical simulation, the effect of different space periodic arrange of porous to nanoporous film's optical characteristic has been studied, and the relationship between the space periodicity of porous and the index of the film has been gained so that the index of nanoporous film can be controlled and the proper films which we need can be fabricated.Firstly, the paper introduces the nanometer material and the current development situation and application foreground of this material in our country and the others. Then, it introduces the process of making the film and the performance test of this film. After these, the paper introduces several medium equivalent refractive models in common use. Besides these, the paper introduces the Finite Difference Time Domain(FDTD) in detail. Finally, from the hot point of the current nanometer materials research, using FDTD method to simulate and calculate theequivalent refractive of several nanoporous films which have different periodicity arrange of porous and analyze the results.
