Objective: To explore the correlations between CalcineurinB,Calmodulin,P35,Gabrb3,MAP1B,MAP2,MAPKK4,RAB6A,RAP2A,Regucalcin,SCN2B,Sortilin,Synapsin2B genes expressions and brain senescence in normal mice. Methods: About 10 at 4 months, 10 at 10 months, and 10 at 18 months mice were used in this observation. To evaluate the expression of CalcineurinB,Calmodulin,P35,Gabrb3,MAP1B,MAP2,MAPKK4,RAB6A,RAP2A,Regucalcin,SCN2B,Sortilin,Synapsin2B in hippocamp and frontal lobe in normal mice at age of 4 months, 10 months and 18 months expectively, reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) techniques was employed. The data were statistically analysed with factorial ANOVA and LSD test. Results: The expressions of the 13 genes were detected in hippocampus and frontal lobe at different developmental stage in normal mice. Compared with that of 4 months group, the expressions of Calmodulin, MAP1B, MAPKK4, Synapsin2B in hippocampus were down-regulated both 10 months and 18 months, while the expressions of CalcineurinB , Calmodulin , P35 , MAP1B , Regucalcin were significantly down-regulated in frontal lobe at 10 months. The expressions of others showed no significiantly changes at different stages (all P<0.05). Moreover, the expressions of Synapsin2B in hippocampus and Regucalcin in frontal lobe showed significant decrease at 18 months followed a dramatical decline at 10 months, though the expressions of others showed no significant differences through the three experimental stages. Conclusions: Some aging related genes might play important roles in the development of hippocampus and frontal lobe in normal mice. Calmodulin, CalcineurinB, P35, MAP1B, Regucalcin, MAPKK4, Synapsin2B might be involvedin senescence progress of hippocampus and frontal lobe in normal mice. Moreover,Synapsin2B and Regucalcin might be the key genes associated with senescence ofhippocamp and frontal lobe of mice, therefore they could be consided as the humanhomology senescence-associated genes of normal mice.
