Swirling flow is one kind of the flow form having the revolution flow distribution. Because the swirling flow has the characteristic of energy strongly, carries the strengthstrongly, the higher transportation density, causes it is extremely widespread in the industry and the daily life.The numerical simulations based on the Hubei Provincial Natural Science Foundation, "a swirling flow mechanism and application". We use commercial software CFX to numerical simulation , use grid division software ICEM carries on the grid division, through spreadsheets and documents of reference, selects RNG k-epsilon rapids model to carry on the numerical simulation. First ,this paper simulation a circular pipe whose diameters are equal along the axis direction within the laminar and turbulent flows. The chief purpose of this paper is to find out valid computational grid for the numerical simulation by CFX, especially to consider the effect of grid density near the wall boundary. This will serve as the reference of the mesh in follow-up of a spiral flow generator numerical simulation.The Institute selected based on the mathematical model of Experimental Model, which in the Hubei Provincial Natural Science Foundation. By means of theoretical analyses and especially numerical simulations, development and formation of the swirling flows in pipes were studied in this dissertation. We measured the velocity distributions of swirling flow, partly mastered the characters of swirling flow. In the process of numerical calculation, using a ideas of the partial analysis to the overall analysis mathematical models will be divided into four parts . We studied the spiral flow generator with the wall effect, to explore the relationship between intensity of swirling flow and the wall; We studied the influence of model's geometry parameters to swirling flow, and found the best combination of many parameters about swirling flow. We tested the theoretical computing formula about attenuation of swirling flow intensity, and educed the exponent attenuation rule of swirling flow, partly mastered the conclusion of swirling flow movement. Also the influences, on the development and formation, of the inflow manner were investigated, We thought the flown line's distortion to the same direction is one of necessary condition to swirling flow.This study is concerned with the flow structure of the spiral flow generation and explore the spiral flow generation mechanism.. The conclusions is useful for the future in-depth study of the spiral flow generated and spiral flow device designed, and it is waiting for further test also.
