Permeability is one of important parameters to evaluate coal reservoirs, but there still be no scientific and systematical means to make known the evolution mechanism of the permeability in coal reservoirs. Through petroleμm and natural gas geology, coal petrography, mathematical geology, organic geochemicstry and lithomechanics, the burial history, thermal evolution, stess evolution of coalbed in the Carboniferous and Permian, the east area of Ordos basin were recovered with the parameters of burial depth, thermal evolution degree, formation pressure in the coalbed, the geological model and nμmerical model of permeability evolution in the coal reservoir were established, the permeability evolution of coalbed in every geologic time were built up which provided thinking and means for exploratory development and allocation of coal methane in China.The research indicated that the permeability evolution of coal reservoir was subjected to thermal evolution of coalbed, crustal stress, reservoir pressure, the permeability evolution of coalbed in the Carboniferous and Permian, the east area of Ordos basin change in wave, with fast decline period from Triassic to Early Crataceous, and slowly raise period from Early Crataceous to Quaternary...
