The essay is supported by project of Chinese geological survey "the metallogenic law and prospecting direction of copper-gold-silver deposit in Chinese border (Beishan and Erlian-East wuqi area)that share with Mongolia"(NO. 1212010561603-1) and inner-Mongolia qinghua corporation project" geological survey outside Kaxiutata iron deposit in the inner-Mongolia Alxa right banner."The essay periphery of Kaxiutata iron deposit by combining theoretic analysis and technique, and propose the next work direction.For the very area was poorly studied, its basic geodynamics setting was a vexed question, the essay try to debate the tectonic setting of studied area. According to Ar-Ar dating study, combing with tectonic distinguish diagram by trace element and unscramble of stratum, the result of later Paleozoic continental arc is proposed.About the dating of Kaxiutata iron(gold-cobalt) deposit, the essay judge it by the interrelation of quartz-diorite, dolerite and monzonitic granite, and gain the sequence of intrusion with early to later: quartz-diorite, dolerite and monzonitic granite; since the formation of the iron deposit is related to dolerite, so we get the dating of deposit by dolerite.The metallogene of deposit is interpreted by trace and rare element data. There is several dolerite intrusions within the study area, only the Kaxiutata dolerite output deposit. There are no difference among these pluton in consideration the main and trace element. The contacted stratum is the important aspect of the deposit genesis, for the basic-ultrabasic pluton is commonly considered as deep source and lacking of liquid. Under the condition of lacking liquid, it is going against metallogenic. The marble-bearing sandstone stratum of Sinian system provided liquid and active element for metallogenic. Under the participation of liquid and active element, the skarn reaction occurred between dolerite and stratum. Lots of mafic minerals were metasomatism by calcium, magnetite were released and for the skarn iron deposit.For the aim of the essay is to explore new resource, magnetic and gravity measurement are carried out, 3 hole were drilling to validate the forcasting. Drilling validates two targets; the result is no industrial magnetite deposit. The magnetic abnormity is arosed by magnetite that output between granite and diorite for the alkali metasomatism. Those magnetic abnormy should avoid at the next work.There are strong magnetic abnormity at the eastern of study area, it is deep embedding and connected with the iron deposit according to abnormity diagram. Maybe it is a good target at the next work.
