The TEM is an important way to find low resistive object under ground. Application of TEM was mainly used on the ground. As coal mine is mining deeper and deeper, the problem of underground water became more serious. TEM can get the low resistive object efficiently under ground. Geological condition was analyzed which make it exactly finding the low resistive object. The traditional way of testing is restricted in the small room of tunnel. The characteristic and law of electric distributing changes in three-dimensional space are the main element. The element affected the degree of exactness for a long time. So a research about testing device form was done for the application of coal mine. The result showed us a suitable device form which can get a high exactness and Signal-to-Noise under ground. A test was carried out in lab and coal mine to confirm the possibility and the correctness of the plan.A computer language called Visual Basic was used to compile a date process software which for automatic process data. The software can assist explaining TEM information, and it can use stander form data file to draw curve automatically. The result of explanation through software was compared to commercial software Suffer which is belonged to Golden Software Company and commercial software Origin which is belonged to Origin Corporation. The result of the compare shows that the program is correct and reliable. Beside these the software also can mark the abnormal zone after data process. The abnormal object's position in three- dimensional and connection with water was got through the comparing with geology condition, which can provide technical insurance for final geology explanation.From the start, TEM and functional illation was used in the thesis to get a device form. The device form fits for the usage in coal mine and obeys theoretical demand. The sending circle size of the device is a 2 meter square with 20 loops. A technology of inversion and geological element's characteristic of background was considered to find out the law of geo-physical abnormal in tunnel floor. These laws can provide relative insurance for large efficient productivity. Secondly, TEM has special advantage when testing in iron ore surveying in difficult condition. TEM can remove the resistivity affection which cause the traditional resistivity way to bad result, and it can reduce the disturbance to the deep sectional testing result which produced by low object.In the final part of the thesis, application of an opening iron mine and a workface under coal mine was given. The drilling data was used to testify the correctness of the thesis, which shows the researching result's high utility value. The result can be spread to wide range using.
