Designing And Developing Of Mapping Software On Topography And Cadastre Based On MicroStation V8

With the rapid development of computer techniques, the method of surveying and mapping has been modernized continuously. It can be clearly seen from the improvement of the ways of surveying and mapping: from the traditional means of surveying and mapping by hand to semi-autoimmunization, and then to auto-mapping by computer, which results from the great achievement in the techniques of surveying and mapping made by the scientific researchers and surveying and mapping workers in different periodThe theory and practice of digital mapping are developing fast; meanwhile, the designing theory and its operation of surveying and mapping software system, and some new working ways are being updated constantly. Workers of surveying and mapping and geographers start to collect, deal with and analyze various source data by computers gradually. Computers help them calculate a series of results, which is useful for the decision process.Based on the advantages of MicroStation software and its practice in the land and surveying department and related producing department, MicroStation is chosen as the basic platform of developing the software of digital mapping on topographic map and cadastral map. In the beginning, this article states the background and significance of choosing this field as a topic, and present condition of research in China and abroad. Following this, it introduces the basic platform briefly and emphasizes the basic knowledge of topographic map and cadastral map, the cardinal principle and method on developing related system.It also demonstrates three aspects about lay outing work and developing on dealing with data of outside work and mapping of topographic map and auto-drawing cadastral map. Finally, it summarizes the system condition of lay outing work and developing, and prospects for the system of more being perfected.
