| When analyzing the actuality of researches on multi-scale expression of the electronic map and the generalization of habitation, this paper finds that as in the traditional methods of research on the multi-scale habitation selection of the electronic map, and because they only considered the disposal of the relationships between the habitation and single feature, not entirely considered the relationships between the habitation and the other features, it was necessary to affect the rationality of the multi-scale habitation selection of the electronic map. Actually, the habitation is not isolation, but has the consanguineous relationships with all other features on the map. So the relationships should be taken into consideration in the habitation generalization. On the basis of the spectrum of GJB(the country military specification) compilation specification, this paper carries out the research on the multi-scale habitation selection of electronic map. The main contributions are as follows:1. On the basis of analyzing the background and research meaning of the habitation selection, we point out the main current existing problems of recent selection methods, and the importance of disposing the relationships between the habitation and others features in the map multi-scale expression, and indicates the scope of the research and the basic idea of this paper.2. Introduce the theoretic basic and techniques about the habitation selection on the electronic map, analyze the internal relationship between the electronic and traditional map. Because of that, we can bring the production of the traditional map into the electronic map to use effectively.3. According to the principles in the compilation specification of the GJB for the habitation selection, the paper summarizes and validates the principles which impact the habitation selection in classification. Summarize the rules of habitation selection and translate them into the language which can be recognized by computer, then apply it in the electronic map multi-scale display, moreover sufficiently considered the effect of all the kinds of features.4. Because of imperfection of the habitation information provided in the experiment, we use the outside database to fill up the shortcoming produced by the deficiency of the habitation attribute information and the difficulty of estimation according to the whole standard.5. On the ground of academic research and experimental validation, we provide the software of the habitation selection based on the compilation specification, then analyze and evaluate the results. |
