Seismic exploration has already got into a stage of high resolution exploration because of geophysics engineering continuously development. The 3D seismic exploration technology may acquire underground data in detail,so this kind of method has been extensively approved in petroleum industry,and the forward and visualization of 3D seismic model become very important.This paper mainly discussed forward and visualization of 3D seismic model.At first, the paper elaborates some arithmetic of model visualization ,and mainly researched the principle of the Ordinary Kriging and Delaunay Triangulation. The paper elaborates some principle of model ray tracing theory ,and mainly researched the arithmetic of the Shooting Method and Iterative Ray-Tracing Method. Secondly, according to above method principle study, we well combine together the numerical method of geophysics exploration with the computer graphics,and carry out computer windows of forward and visualization of 3D seismic model in the VC++6.0 environments in virtue of OpenGL tool. In the process of model visualization , mainly use section building method and load data to build the 3D model.Base on the model that velocity is defined and survey is to be loaded is traced of ray to carry out the analyse of fold and position angle and offset.The results are well showed in computer.At last,above various research results are applied in an actual work area.We accurately load other layer data and carry out forward and visualization of 3D seismic model.It comes to an anticipant result. After ray tracing and bin analysis,we conclude that forward analysis may attain seismic exploration request for the sample layer. The program system needs a further research for the deep and complicated layer.
