Software Development For OBS Preprocessing And Velocity Analyzing Based On Qt

Ocean Bottom Seismometer (OBS) was originally a tool for observing the seabed fluctuation, micro-earthquake and oceanic volcano. And it was also designed to map the geological structure of the crust. After developing for nearly half century, the OBS is presently using in the exploration of oil and gas, as well as the gas hydrate, which has obtained a substantial progress.OBS exploration is a method for observing seismic or earthquake, during which we deploy the three component geophone on the bottom of the ocean, fire an air gun at the sea surface, and then the geophone receives signals at the seabed. Because of deploying at the seabed, the geophone can collect much more data about the P-wave and the converted PS-wave, thus we can use the data to analyze the P and PS velocity and moreover obtain the P- and S-wave. Compared with the Ocean bottom cable (OBC), the advantages of OBS lie in its deeper working depth and the lower cost.With studying the existing OBS data processing methods, as well as summarizing the former research, this dissertation tries to devise software of OBS data pre-processing and analyzing.In designing the software, the author chose the powerful Qt toolkit from Trolltech as development tool, and pure C++ language as development language. This software is finished under Windows. As the Qt is good at transplantation between deferent platforms, this software can be easily transplanted to the Linux or UNIX platform.The dissertation mainly focuses on four parts: firstly, the basic theory of OBS seismic exploration and the approach of data processing; Secondly, the analysis of integrated requirements in accordance with the demands on the functions of software; Thirdly, the description on the implement of this software; Lastly, the demonstration of the favorable effect of this software on processing and analyzing the simulating data.
