In this paper, the locomotion radiation of monopole by conical section and modulation instability of intense linearly polarized laser pulse are studied in plasma, based on the dispersion character of plasma dielectric. On one hand, we adopt the motion model of particle in the central force-field, and derive the numerical function of the locomotion radiation spectrum of monopole by conical section, based on the spontaneous radiation associated with the moving charged particle in plasma. We do numerical calculation for the equation of radiation spectrum in dissimilar cases, and analyze the characteristics of radiation. It is shown that the locomotion radiation spectrum of monopole is distinctly different from the charged particle. Taking cognizance of these diversities is of very important significance to detect monopole. On the other hand, we adopt a brief method called Karpman, and derive the nonlinear controlling equation for amplitude of linearly polarized laser, based on the nonlinear dispersion relation in relativistic plasma. We get the dispersion relationship of perturbed wave from the nonlinear governing equation. We plot the figure of growth rate to the perturbed wave number by the computer, and analyze the modulation instability associated with propagation of intense linearly polarized laser pulse in relativistic plasma, obtain some more results .
