Wulanhada Quaternary Volcanic cluster is located in Qahar Youyi Houqi, Inner Mongolia. The Volcanic cluster includes over 30 volcanoes and the distribution of volcanoes is catenular and northeasterly. The chronology of volcano eruption can be divided into Late-Pleistocene volcanism and Holocene volcanism. The Late-Pleistocene volcanism consists of spatter cone with a small quantity of lava flow, built by small-scale fissure eruptions. The Holocene volcanism mainly comprises three volcanoes, which are all consists of alkali basaltic scoria cone and lava flow area over 200km2. The dimensions of the volcanoes are large and the volcanic structures are complete. The cone, the crater and the vent are all preserved completely. There are abundant volcanic geological heritage landscape resources in Wulanhada, which formed typically and particularly. The main landscape types include fissure caldera, strombolian scoria cone, coulee, lava tumulus, fumarolic cone and lakes. Geological relic resource is evaluated for the purpose of rational development, utilization and protection. It can be evaluated from three models, and the results show Wulanhada volcanic geological heritage resources not only have peculiarity higher scientific value and aesthetic appreciation, but also to be a potential prospect for a great profit by virtue of landscape resources and prominent location. Adherence to the sustainable development strategies, the Protection of volcanic geological heritage can be divided into three levels, including 13 protection areas.Wulanhada volcanic geological heritage is about six hours′drive from Beijing, Tianjin, Tangshan and Hohhot, belongs to the capital circle. In response to the feature of tourism resources, the following products could be developed: sightseeing tourism and scientific review tourism, In order to provide convenience to the tourists, two tour routes are carefully selected.
