Bio-chemical Analysis And Evaluation Of Main Nutritional Components Of Locusta Migratoria Manilensis (Meyen)

As the deteriorating of our environment,the kinds of food that we could eat seems much smaller than ever before.So it becomes much more important to find some other food resources.In the past few years,people paid more and more attention to the research of insects.And researchers found that there were many nutritional components in insects.Locusta migratoria manilensis(Meyen)is a kind of pest in people's mind.As the developing of science,researchers pay more and more attention to how to reduce the calamity induced by Locusta migratoria manilensis(Meyen).In this paper,we analyze Locusta migratoria manilensis(Meyen)from a different aspect in order to obtain many kinds of nutritional components from it.Using the GB/T5009.3-2003 to determine its content of moisture,the result was 78.39%.According to Kjeldahl's methods,we determined its content of crude protein,the result was 75.18%.According to colrimetry of sulfuric acid anthrone methods,we determined its content of carbohydrate,the result was 6.39%.According to Soxhlet's methods,we determined its content of crude fat,the result was 9.962%. According to GC methods,we determined its content of fatty acid,and the result showed there were multi- UFAs in it.According to HPLC methods,we determined its content of monosaccharides,and it showed that there were glucose,rhamnose, galactose in Locusta migratoria manilensis(Meyen).From the above datum,we could conclude that Locusta migratoria manilensis(Meyen)is a kind of insects with high protein,low fat,low carbohydrate,rich content of fatty acid and microelement,several kinds of monosaccharides.So it is obvious that Locusta migratoria manilensis(Meyen)is a very useful natural food resource.
