Tupistra delavayi Franch.is a precious officinal plants. In order to accumulate the information about the procreation biology for Tupistra delavayi Franch.. , We used different-sized and different developmental stages buds as experimental material. This paper studies on the development male and female gametophytes of flowers of Tupistra delavayi Franch. The results are as follows: The development of anther wall follows Monocotyledonous type. Ellipsoidal pollen grains are 2-celled and 3-celled when shed, with one germinal furrow. In addition, the development of gynoecia lags of androecia. The type of embryo sac belongs to the polygonum type. The mature ovules were anatropous with dual-integument and temuinucellatae. The pistil was composed of six florals, five carpels, axile placenta, 3-room ovary having six circinotropous ovules. the ovule was crassinucellate and had two layers of integument. Using histochemical techniques, with the results of observation the dynamics of protein and polysaccharides in the anther cells and embryo sac cells of different development phases. In microspore development phase, anther tapetum functions are preserving and transporting nutritive material. The peak of protein and polysaccharides appeared alternately during the development of female gametophyte. The changes of aleurone grains and starch were related to each other.Using six officinal plants in Liliaceae, observing pollen morphology, the main morphological feature of Liliaceae is as follows: the pollen grain is ellipse possessing monocolpate, with thin-thick reticulate exine.
