Research On Geographic Information Data Exchange Technique Based On Web Services

With the rapid development of computer and network technology as well as the rise of digital city construction upsurge in our country, the GIS application has been promoted widely in each realm by the combine of the geographic information system technique and the network technology, a variety of heterogeneous information systems have been brought up as well.The sharing of geographic information resources following has become an increasingly obvious problem, which has been a bottleneck constraint of our country's geographic information industry. Therefore, how to exchange and integrate these heterogeneous data with low coupling,low cost and more conveniency has become urgent issue to be considered. The appearance of Web Service technology has brought a new realization method for the data exchange.Based on Web Service architecture, the geographic information data sharing and exchange technique is studied deeply in this paper,combining with the project of"The Research Of Geographic Information Data-Exchange Platform Building"belonged to Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of Surveying and Mapping. The main achievements are as follows:1.Combining with the latest current domestic achievements of data- exchange platform constructions,a new data-exchange centre building scheme, which is based on Web Service mainly to distributed database, message services to complement,is proposed.2.Design and implement the Web Service-oriented geographic information data integration mechanism.The data integration service provides the function of data inquiry and edit. Each operation for physical data sources can be completed by Web Service methods.3.Complete the virtual data exchange centre by constructing data exchange platform to shield the difference between the central database and the underlying database center,providing a middle platform interface for application procedure. Offer geographic data integration services and resource information services for users using"release– subscription"message model.4.Achieve the sharing and integration of basic GIS functions using Web Service to provide geographic information services for users.Describe and store the heterogeneous geographic information by uniform GML(Geography Markup Language) standard and design the GML data conversion service. Use SVG in the client side to display the GIS map.5.Aimming at the applications of"The Capacity Rate Measure Of Estate Construction", design and develope a measure system for estate capacity rate based on the above scheme,which has good effect in the practical applications.
