On the basis of his teaching experience, the author concludes that students' interest in learning and their school grades are closely related. Generally speaking, the greater interest the students have in learning, the higher marks they will get. On the contrary, those who are less interested in learning mostly get low scores. To prove it, the author carried out an investigation into the relationship between interest in learning and school grades among the higher professional school students of Senior One and Senior Two at his school. And the result shows that his conclusion is true. In the author's opinion, how to arouse students'interest in learning effectively according to their characteristics should be one of the central problems in the reform of math courses in higher professional schools.This paper discusses the factors affecting the interest of higher professional school students in math learning, the influence on students'school grades caused by their interest, effective ways to strengthen their interest, and the practice and exploration of increasing their interest done at his school, etc. In this essay, the author referred to the theory, practical experience and research results of some experts, together with his teaching experience and thoughts for many years. The author hopes to summarize and find out something regular to help teaching through the discussion.
