Following the rapid development of the national economy, electricity consumers on the electric distribution reliability and power quality, efficiency and quality service have put forward higher requirements. On the existing electric distribution management methods can not meet the demand for high-speed development, with the GIS in the various industry in the successful application,and the network technology in the development and maturity, and the electric distribution of GIS based on web become to a powerful tool to manage electric distribution.General existing electric distribution GIS main electric net management, maintenance and customer service, and some other basic management information systems function, and different departments need different systems, or use a different database management. This makes cooperation difficult various departments, the sharing of data-level low, resulting in a great waste of resources and costs. To this end, this paper presents a Web-based electric distribution GIS solution, the system under the ESRI Company's ArcServer software platform development for secondary; realize electric distribution wiring lines and street map of the background layer management, map zoom, fuzzy query, qualification query, the best repair pathway analysis, the best analysis of the optimal power cut. database design using a new object-oriented spatial database - Geodatabase using Unified Modeling Language UML complete database design, and use of spatial data engine ArcSDE unified call in the space of geographic information stored in the database data, the sharing of data.
