The mine geological 3D modeling and visualization play a very significant role in exporting, designing and developing the mine resource. Relying on the practical project and the theoretic project, after reviewing the home and abroad researched achievements about the mine geological 3D modeling, this dissert employs the geology science, computer science, information science, and other relative disciplines to dwells on some problems in the mine geological 3D modeling. The problems include the exploration-profile-coordination-system transformation, evaluating transformed quality model, etc. Furthermore, the method about expressing and storing geology knowledge is commented. Then, the mine 3D automatic reconstruction method basing on knowledge reasoning is studied in detail. The main works in this dissert are as follows::1. The classification of the spatial entities in the mine is induced systematically. The entities' spatial and geometrical characteristics are expounded. After introducing the source, characteristics, classification and the manifestation of the 3D mine model, the basic framework and function of the mine 3D modeling are proposed.2. How to utilize the exploratory profiles to reconstruct the mine 3D model is discussed. And then, in the mine 3D model reconstruction, the essentiality of the exploration-profile-coordinating-system transformation and transformed quality is also probed. Moreover, the automatically transforming exploration profile coordination system and evaluating transformed quality model are proposed. Then, the transformation algorithm and transformed quality evaluating algorithm are studied in detail, which feasibility and accuracy are proved by an instance.3. The manifestation of spatial inconsistency between cross exploratory profile and longitudinal exploratory profile is studied. The spatial inconsistency detection method based on the cross-section and processing algorithms are put forward, which solves the negative effect of the spatial inconsistency on the mine 3D model reconstruction.4. The correspondence relationships among spatial entities among different longitudinal exploratory profiles are analyzed systematically. Based on the traditional geology knowledge and rules of the mine 3D model, the expression of geology knowledge of the mine 3D reconstruction is proposed using the object-oriented method. In order to restructure the mine 3D model, the geology knowledge base is set up. The mine 3D reconstruction algorithm depending on knowledge reasoning is proposed.5. Finally, taking a Chenzhou metal mine in Hunan province for example, the prototype software including above algorithms has been developed , and then some experiments to build areal geological 3D bodies are implemented.
