Block H is located at Ouargla Province, crossing over Oued Mya basin, Hassi Messaoud High and Touggourt uplift. Its petroleum exploration extent is low and there are 11 wells in the Permit, among which petroleum shows were met in 10 wells and 3 wells obtained the industrial oil flows. According to the comprehensive analysis and evaluation on the source, reservoir, cap rock, reservoir-seal assemblage, petroleum migration mode and major controlling factors, and petroleum accumulation rules, it is thought that the Permit has preferable petroleum accumulation environment, favorable geologic condition and good exploration potentials. Aiming at its characters of low relief, deep burial depth and quick velocity variation, structure interpretation and mapping study are carried out, and the structure mapping method of"error correlation analysis"that has effectively resolved the problems in early exploration period, such as absence of regional velocity field data and difficulty in verifying trap validity is proposed. 17 traps are identified, including 44 horizon traps with the acreage of 838.7km2. Based on the trap identification, integrated with the comprehensive evaluation achievement of the Permit, Delphi method is adopted to carry out geologic evaluation, and resource quantity calculation as well as economic evaluation are made to theâ… ,â…¡type traps classified according to the geologic evaluation. According to the geologic and economic evaluation achievements, the method of"two factors"is used to establish the comprehensive evaluation pattern. Thenâ… andâ…¡traps are comprehensively evaluated and 3 favorable targets are optimized as reserved traps for drilling. An exploration well is deployed and has gained good oil shows, which reveals the promising exploration outlook of the Permit.
