The thesis research background is that traditional forestry management system based on PC has some shortages, such as bad openness, bad share property and bad timeliness. And, it is hard to unify the criteria of data norm and database construction, easy to result in data redundancy. As a new development stage of GIS, WebGIS perfectly solved the above-mentioned problem, so it is greatly meaningful to study digital forestry WebGIS.This thesis partly comes from the high-tech research project of Science and Technology Bureau, JiangSu province, which is called "Research on Forest Resource Dynamic Monitoring and Management System Based on 3S and Web Technology in JiangSu Province (BG2005328)". The main target is to comprehensively apply many high and new technology, such as network technology, database technology and so on, to carry out forestry resource information's release online and meet GIS functions of map display, map roam, map enlarge, map contract, attribute retrieval, statistical analysis, data browse, data query, spatial analysis and thematic map creation etc., only taking advantage of browser at the client.The technique route of this topic is as follows. Firstly, the thesis put forward system's design requirements through feasibility analysis and demand analysis. Secondly, after deeply comparative analysis of various existence of WebGIS software's architecture and implementation technique, put forward system's B/S model and reasonably divide the whole system into presentation layer, application logic layer and data layer. On the basis of these foundations, system's function structure, development structure, development environment, development platform and development language is established. Lastly, according to the above-established design way and technique route, the system adopts GeoBeans6.5 as the platform which is developed by institute of remote sensing applications, Chinese academy of sciences, utilizes ncgmec.jar component supplied, applies ASP, JavaScript as development language and carries out the technology of secondary development, then "Research on Nanjing Digital Forestry WebGIS Based on Components" is developed under the support ofâ…¡S5.1 and java virtual machine. Furthermore, system's main function is demoed.The main research conclusions are as follows:1.After designing the coding of forestry information that system needed according to existing national standard, it can effectively store, manage, index and share data.2.After comparative analysis of the advantage and disadvantage of C/S structure and B/S structure, it adopts B/S structure, so it can sufficiently develop server's powerful function, ease client's burden and is convenient to develop and expand.3.The system which adopts component technology to secondly develop has characteristics of good openness and good integration.4.Practice has proved that "Research on NanJing Digital Forestry WebGIS Based on Components" provides a data service platform for forestry informatization construction. It can conveniently carry out data browse, data query and data analysis for forestry management sections. So, forestry management sections can grasp foresty conditions timely and accurately, and make credible management and credible decision.
