Research On Planning Support System Based On 3DGIS

As the development of computer and the advancement of urban planning, the method of urban planning has engendered profound change. This transformation bring higher requirement for technology of urban planning and urban management, especially the development of 3DGIS (three degree geographic information system). It brings tremendous impact on urban planning.The development of 3DGIS can provide data platform and technique foundation for urban planning. It brings new technique to urban planning and increase the ability and degree of how to understand our city. On the one hand, the application of 3DGIS can make all information expressed by computer that urban planning needs, so everyone within urban planning and management can comprehend all information about urban and research the generally rule about the development of urban in a high level; On the other hand, by many analysis method and analysis model from GIS, we can do more quantitative analysis about city phenomena, and it can increase the maneuverability of urban planning.This paper gives a general review of origins, definitions of PSS. Then, based on an in-depth analysis on its development situation, existing problems, and development priorities, a practical solution for PSS framework– SuperPlanner, is proposed. And then, its functionality, system structure and impact on present work flow of urban planning are introduced in detail. This software is developed by using VB.net, ArcObject and Skyline5. At last, SuperPlanner is used for some task of urban planning.The research proves that SuperPlanner is not a simple application in urban planning. It combines urban planning with information technique, advance planning efficiency, enlarge the method of expression. So SuperPlanner has good application value in urban planning.
