Changhua tianhuang stone(In particular tianhuang chicken-blood stone)are famous stones of Changhua stones, with sleek texture and peculiar grain. The paper, based on fieldwork of geology, has done some research on mineralogy and gemology characteristics mainly through using modern testing methods such as polarization microscope and analysis of EMPA, SEM, XRD, IR, DTA, XEDS and RAMAN, at the same time, compared to Shoushan tianhuang stone to point out a more definite definition and provide theoretical basis for its identification.Cryptocrystalline texture, micro-granular texture and lepidoblastic texture are Changhua tianhuang stone's typical texture; massive structure, porphyritic structure and flaser structure are widely visible. Micro-morphology observation by SEM examination shows that kaolinite group minerals bear a shap of indeterminate form, fause hexagonal platy or schistose, of which, Cinnabar and percutaneous stone show a sharp of squama. Kaolinite group minerals in part ores have a relatively highly idiomorphic degree also be equal in opposite angles and opposite sides.EMPA, XRD and DTA show that the major mineral composition of Changhua tianhuang and tianhuang blood-stone is composed of dickite, kaolinite and transitional minerals of kaolinite and dickite, cinnabar, simultaneity, contains quartz sericite and limonite. The HI index has been calculated to testify that the structural order of dickite has lower order. Water in the form of OH, besides some adhesive water. The OI index can figure out that the degree of order of percutaneous stone is higher than of texture. IR and XEDS indicate that texture and percutaneous stone are all made up of dickite, the content of Fe in percutaneous stone is exceed in the texture. RAMAN point that the transparent lines as radish involve dickite, white lines as radish contained dickite and diaspore, brown lines as radish include dickite and limonite, yellow lines as radish embody dickite, limonite and pyrite.Compared with Shoushan tianhaung stone, they are similar in physical properties, texture, structure and component. Nacrite is visible in shoushan tianhuang stone whereas alunite in changhua tianhuang stone, occasionally, couple with cinnabar. Percutaneous stone in Shoushan tianhuang stone present a sharp of indeterminate form with high packing but a sharp of squama in changhua tianhuang stone. Changhua tianhuang steatite has granular structure rather than the structure of fause hexagonal platy or schistose. As a result, this paper is to table a proposal of tianhuang stone's definition: The massive stone is mined in Qdl and paddy field with six morality and made of class dickite kaolinite-group minerals even bear yellowish.Juexing Mountains stone, juexing duocheng pit stone, juexing Hang Tau stone, houji stone, clinochlore, steatite, pyrauxite, shan bodong and lu muge are imitation of tianhuang stone.
