Formicidae is one of the most biggest family in Hymenoptera. More than 10,000 species have been recorded around world. Ant has a close relationship with human production and living. It can improve soil and environment, and some species of ant can be used for curing disease. In addition, the systematics study of them has not only theoretical but also practical value in environmental conservation and resources usage. In this paper, the taxonomic studies on Formicidae were studied detailedly, which is distributed in Jilin Province, Northeastern China. Furthermore, we researched them from other two parts in order to determine the relationships among them. The 12 species of Formicidae including in this paper belong to 2 subfamilies, 5 genera. The research contents and results are as follows.1 Morphology: In this part, the configurations of 12 species of Formicidae were described using traditional classification methods.2 Biochemistry: In this part, the EST isoenzyme of 8 species of Formicidae were analyzed by using the technique of vertical slab poly-acrylamidae gel electrophoresis, and clustering analysis of these species was researched based on their relative mobilities, the results are as follows.(1) There are also some significantly differences about the EST isoenzyme electrophoretogram between different genera and different species. So EST isoenzyme could be applied as a classification index to confirm species among different subfamily, the different species in the same genus, and so on. The differences of Formicidae EST isoenzyme indicated a positively correlated to the differences of Formicidae Morphology characteristic.(2) The results also show that the technique of EST isoenzyme which was used in identification of Tettigonioidea and the relative of different species and classific leval is feasible.3 Research on antennal sensilla: The typology, number and placement of antennal sensilla of 13 species of Formicidae were studied using scanning electron microscopy. The antennal sensilla of 12 species of Formicidae could be divided into 11 types: one types of trichodea, four type of chaetica, three types of basiconica, one type of coeloconica, one type of placoclea, and Bohm. The typology, number and placement of antennal sensilla indicated significantly differences among different subfamily and genus. However, there were few differences among the different species in the same genus. The antennal sensilla can be used as a classification index among different subfamily and genus of Formicidae, so it could set an academic foundation on insect taxonomic. It can also provide some evidence on taxonomic of Formicidae.
