The idea of Game-based learning is to combine teaching with the game through the instructional design, and use game mechanisms to provide a fun, lively learning environment. With the deepening of education reform, and technological progress as well as the maturing and development of Game based-learning, combining education with games to promote the Green Games and the quality of education and People-oriented, will be one of the hot in the future. At the same time, the game-based courseware will also be a future direction of the development of courseware. This article researches the design and development of flash games-based physics courseware promoting physics teaching, on the basic of analyses the existing teaching courseware development and the application situation nowadays , from the angle of teaching design and game development.First of all, this article makes a simple, specific identification on games-based courseware and related terminology, and expounds the characteristics, types, elements at the basis of typical current game-based courseware. After a comprehensive overview about game-based courseware, this article officially begins to explore the flash games-based physics courseware: the bridge between game and school physics teaching. The article discusses the feasibility, advantages and the specific application mode of the use of game-based physics courseware in middle school physical classroom, and make specific case study. On the basis of the above discussion, the article focuses on the design and development of the flash game-based physics courseware. The paper proposes the design idea and its theoretical foundation of flash game-based physics courseware, and discusses its design principles, strategy, development technology, etc. Finally, the article make concrete case studies, design and develop a specific flash game-based physics courseware.
