This paper mostly studies on the problem of accurate locating the stratigraphic pitch-out line which is difficult to be predicted in the western area of Zhanhua area. The aim is to improve forecasting precision and probe into effective methods for stratigraphic trap prediction in order to guide further exploration in the study area.First, with the method of geological analysis and seismic technique, it analyzes the geologic feature of study area, improves the seismic information quality combine with seismic destination process, Second, with the sequence stratigraphy analysis, it defines the distribution of unconformity and stratigraphic trap, establishes the seismic identification modes of stratigraphic trap in layers. Then, point to the much problem of pinchout boundary prediction errors in the stratigraphic trap description, it designs some geologic models, used Gmaplus software to forward analysis, and with the analytic statistics of the seismic geologic information, it advances three research methods: seismic attribute parameter predication method, geology statistical method, and seismic included angle quantity extrapolate method. With the actual geology information and compositive use the three methods, it achieves better predictive validity, solves the problem of pinchout boundary prediction errors, and so realized stratigraphic trap availability prediction, consummates the prediction technique of the stratigraphic trap.The main research fruits include the following three points:Firstly, the paper researches the distribution character of the stratigraphic reservoir by sequence stratigraphy, and establishes the Neogene and the Paleogene reflection identification modes of the stratigraphic reservoir.Secondly, the paper develops three methods to describe the stratigraphic pitch-out line (geologic statistics of stratal pitching-out line, strata inclination extrapolation and seismic attribute process),and has established the precise description method of stratal overlap lines and seismic identification measuring panel, and has achieved scientific quantitive extrapolation of pinch-out line of stratigraphic overlap trap. This work perfects the prediction technique series on stratigraphic reservoir.Thirdly, the key problems in description of trap were solved with this methods to describe the stratigraphic trap in the research of Ng,Ed in chenjiazhuang oil field. The avail area of stratigraphic overlap traps is located and achieves good prospect effect and prominence economic benefit.By the application of the above techniques, the precise prediction and description of good objects are made. Since 2005, 12 wells were deployed including Chen311,Chen312,Chen315,Chen316, and 10 wells of them obtain good oil and gas indication, and each well Yields 2-3 ton one day. As a result, there is an increase of 17 million tons of oil reserve in Chenjiazhuang oil field. The research promotes the progress of stratigraphic reservoir exploration, and achieves good economic and social benefit.By the research, a set of seismic prediction techniques of stratigraphic overlap traps of west Zhanhua area are established and resolves the difficulty that constrain stratigraphic trap exploration. This technique not only instruct the exploration in this area, but it is also meaningful for stratigraphic trap research in other similar areas.
