In the recent years, much attention has been drawn to Karl Marx's technology philosophy. Karl Marx's treatise on the machinery is unavoidable when his technology philosophy thoughts are studied. Machine, as one of the representation forms of technology, is a symbol of the level of technology and an outcome of capitalism production mode as well. Being a proletarian revolutionary mentor, Karl Marx payed close attention to production practice of proletarian; on the other hand, he attached importance to exploration in theory. He deeply reviewed capitalism production mode and widely read works about technical histories. On basis of this he got a profound and systemic "machinery view".The thirteen chapter in The Captical is a concentrated representation of Karl Marx's machinery view, while before it, the notes of techniques and technical history Machines. Elements' and Science's Application is an embryo of it. In this chapter, as viewed from economic sociology, Karl Marx analyses deeply and systemically the origination, development and function of machinery. First, he specifically analyses the differences between machinery and handcrafted implements, the compositive parts, emphasizes in particular the instrument's (one of the three compositive parts of machine.) decisive effects to the Industrial Revolution; dissertates profoundly machine's important effect to production mode and society changes, and also the dissimilation phenomena.Along with incessant development of technology and economical society, the property and modality of machine and machine systems are on the way of incessant updating and changing, the problems it brings are more and more profound and poignant, which requires people to scan and unscramble over again. Carefully studying Karl Marx's classical dissertations therefore is possessed of theoretical and practical significance to comprehend the increasingly complicated technology phenomena.
