After years of development, Tazhong 4 Oilfield has entered the high water cut and production decline stage, the oil field development is facing the "three-high" situation which is high water cut, high degree of recovery, high decline. Compared to middle and low water-cut stage, reservoir in high water-cut development stage has low production rate, huge water consumption, and disperse residual oil, bad measure effect, deteriorative well condition, reduction in cost-effectiveness etc. It is necessary to adjust the measures contrapuntally.The ultimate goal of oil field development is to enhance oil recovery. The primary indicator of oil field development effect evaluation is to see if the oil recovery is enhanced after adjusting measures. At the current stage of development, it is necessary to evaluate the development effect timely and effectively, it is one of the key points of the oil field development work, it is a pre-summary of the former oil field development and the base of oil field development work in the next step, related to oil field eventual development effectiveness and cost-effective good or bad. At present, the evaluation of development effect of water flooding oil field has a lot of content and methods, such as recovery evaluation, water rate evaluation, well spacing density evaluation, the division and combination of layers evaluation, water flooding index evaluation. In this paper, production capacity, aquifers, well spacing density, recovery ratio and so on of Tazhong 4 oil field are evaluated using reservoir engineering methods and numerical simulation method according to the conclusions from field trials and existing research results.Full summary, analysis, evaluation of high water cut stage of Tazhong 4 oil field, grasping the development law of high water cut stage. On this basis, using technical economic theory, reservoir engineering theory, the material balance principle we evaluate the development effect of Tazhong 4 oil field, guide the next step of oil production job.
