In order to study the expression of mouse PrRP-R in different tissues in the period of pregnancy and lactation. Kuming mouse were selected as objections and we detected the expression of PrRP-R in hypothalamus, pituitary, oblongata, thyroid adrenal and ovaries in early, mid, late trimester of pregnancy and lactation by the semi-quantitative RT-PCR methods. The main results were as follow:1 The expression of PrRP-R in different tissues in the period of pregnancy and lactation. The expression of PrRP-R in adrenal in early trimester of pregnancy was significantly lower than hypothalamus, pituitary, oblongata (P<0.05); the expession of PrRP-R in thyroid in late trimester of pregnancy was significantly higher than other (P<0.05); the expression of PrRP-R in thyroid in mid trimester of lactation was significantly lower than other (P<0.05); the expression of PrRP-R in hypothalamus, pituitary in late trimester of lactation was significantly lower than other (P<0.05)2 The expression of PrRP-R in different tissues. The expression of PrRP-R in hypothalamus and pituitary in different periods weren't vary significant(P>0.05); the expression of PrRP-R in oblongata and adenal in late trimester of lactation was highest and the mid, late trimester of lactation is significantly higher than other periods(P<0.05); the expression of PrRP-R in thyroid and ovaries in late trimester of lactation was highest and the mid, late trimester of lactation was significantly higher than other periods(P<0.05).The results indicated that the expression of PrRP-R in hypothalamus and pituitary may not be affected by the period of growth and that the expression of PrRP-R in oblongata, thyroid, adrenal and ovaries was higher in the late trimester maybe associa- ted with PrRP'regulation of reproductive endocrine effects.
