Overwhelming Of Scientific Rationality And Reconstruction Of Reason The Contemporary Significance Of Marxist Practical Rationality

The concept of reason is a classical concept in the history of western philosophy. It's also an expanding historical category. Scientific rationality derives from the integration of reason and natural science. As one kind of cognition reason, scientific rationality makes people learn to approach objects using mathematic, and it has showed incomparable superiority in the revealing of natural mystery. Since the modern times, scientific rationality has become widely known to public, which has permeated in many fields, such as scientific thinking, political organization and social life. Scientific rationality has influenced the future and destiny of mankind in a unique way.The paper started with the research of reason stemming from the ancient Greece period, and inspected the historical pathway of traditional reason which has transformed gradually from theoretical reason, cognitive reason to instrumental reason and technological reason. The paper also analyze the reason why scientific rationality has become a kind of "universal" strength permeating economic, political, cultural and social life in all areas through the comparative study of in the irrational philosophy, Frankfurt school and postmodern theory on scientific rationality.In order to inhibit the excessive publicity of scientific rationality, we must rebuild rational spirit which integrates inherently scientific rationality with humanism, and make science and technology development in the terms of naturalism and humanism, reflecting harmony in Nature, human and society. Therefore, the paper propose reconstruction of reason based on Marxist practical philosophy according to the critical theory of Marx to subjectivity metaphysics in modern times, the capitalist system and technical dissimilation, which explained scientific rationality in terms of the principle of Marxism historical materialism and theoretical thinking of practical rationality, so as to achieve the harmony and reconstruction of reason, as the theory foundation and value orientation to construction of harmonious culture, harmonious society and a harmonious world.
